Buying Admin Assistant

High Wycombe
£23k £27k depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am 5.30pm (poss part time hours)
Office Based

Our client is looking for a Buying Admin Assistant to join their growing team. You may already have experience in purchasing support, or perhaps be a college or university leaver keen to build a long-term career within buying and procurement.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being organised, detail-focused and part of a busy, collaborative team. If you re looking to develop within procurement or supply chain, this role offers genuine long-term progression.

You ll provide key administrative and operational support to the buying department, helping ensure products are ordered efficiently, deliveries are tracked, and stock availability is maintained.

Key Responsibilities of the Buying Admin Assistant:
  • Creating and processing purchase orders accurately
  • Monitoring supplier confirmations and delivery schedules
  • Tracking inbound shipments and updating internal systems
  • Supporting invoice checks and payment processing
  • Liaising with UK and international suppliers
  • Maintaining accurate product, cost and supplier records
  • Assisting with new product setup and internal documentation
  • Supporting stock level monitoring and replenishment
  • Reporting on slow-moving items and reorder points
  • Updating ERP / inventory systems as required
  • Preparing purchasing reports
  • Coordinating with warehouse, logistics and internal teams
  • Supporting ad-hoc procurement and supply chain projects
Requirements for the Buying Admin Assistant:
  • Previous administrative or buying support experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Confident communication skills
  • Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • ERP or stock system experience desirable
  • Basic understanding of procurement or supply chain is ideal
  • Proactive and solution-focused
  • Reliable and organised
  • Comfortable working independently and within a team
  • Adaptable in a fast-paced environment
