OverviewJoin our Insight team at Chambers and Partners as a Research Operations Assistant, working 2 days per week in either our Birmingham or London office.
This role is an initial 6-month, fixed-term contract.

Main Duties and Responsibilities- Take AI-processed interview and survey commentary and finish tidying it so that it is grammatically correct, error‑free and easy to understand.
- Ensure all comments are rendered anonymous by removing or redacting anything that could identify the source.
- Maintain tone, clarity and neutrality of comments while preserving the meaning and nuance of the original speaker.
- Apply consistent house style and formatting so content is ready for use by writers and editors.
- Work to throughput targets and agreed quality standards to support timely report delivery (typical project lead times are around four weeks).
- Liaise with writers, editors and managers to clarify requirements and elevate issues that may affect delivery.
- Perform ad hoc operational tasks to support workflow.
- Strong command of written English with excellent grammar, punctuation and spelling.
- Experience of proofreading, copy‑editing or similar text‑cleaning work.
- Ability to render text anonymous and to recognise and remove identifying details.
- Comfortable working with AI‑generated text and confident making judgement calls about clarity and accuracy.
- Fast and accurate keyboard skills; able to process high volumes of text efficiently.
- Ability to follow prescribed style guides and to work to consistent standards.
- Reliable time management and the ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality.
- Awareness of the importance of confidentiality and handling sensitive information securely.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy.
- Clear written communication skills and an eye for natural, readable wording.
- Methodical and organised, with the ability to prioritise work under pressure.
- Proactive team player who can take direction and also work independently.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing workloads and priorities during busy periods.
- Enthusiasm for learning about the research and publishing process.
