Role OverviewNorthern Shore Capital is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vice President to join our investment team. This individual will play a leadership role across the full deal lifecycle, with primary responsibility for driving deal execution, managing diligence processes, supporting transaction structuring, and mentoring junior team members. The Vice President will work closely with the Managing Director and Partners and will serve as a key point person on live transactions and portfolio M&A initiatives operating in a lean, entrepreneurial private equity platform with significant responsibility and visibility.
Key Responsibilities- Lead end‑to‑end execution of platform and add‑on acquisitions, from initial diligence through close.
- Own financial modeling, valuation analysis, and transaction structuring for new investments and follow‑on M&A.
- Drive and coordinate diligence work streams with third‑party advisors, including legal, accounting, consulting, reimbursement, and operational diligence providers.
- Prepare and present investment committee materials, deal memos, and transaction updates to senior leadership.
- Serve as a primary contact for management teams, intermediaries, lenders, and external advisors throughout the deal process.
- Develop and refine investment theses within targeted services subsectors.
- Conduct deep industry, regulatory, reimbursement, and competitive analysis to support investment decision‑making.
- Evaluate market dynamics, growth drivers, and risks specific to services and multi‑site business models.
- Support portfolio company M&A initiatives, including add‑on acquisition sourcing, diligence, and integration planning.
- Partner with portfolio company leadership teams on strategic initiatives related to growth, acquisitions, and value creation.
- Assist in monitoring portfolio performance and identifying opportunities for operational and strategic improvement.
- Mentor and oversee Associates and Senior Associates, providing guidance on modeling, diligence, and professional development.
- Help build and refine internal processes, tools, and best practices for deal execution and portfolio support.
- Contribute to broader firm initiatives, culture building, and long‑term platform development.
- 7–10+ years of total experience, including: 2–3+ years in investment banking, transaction advisory, or consulting with a strong M&A focus. 2–5+ years in private equity, growth equity, or another principal investing role with meaningful deal execution responsibility.
- The role requires a highly resourceful, proactive team player who can thrive in a fast‑paced environment while exercising sound judgement, strong communication skills, and the ability to balance multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong experience executing services transactions; familiarity with reimbursement, regulatory, and multi‑site operating models strongly preferred.
- Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex work streams simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong commercial judgement and comfort operating with limited or imperfect information.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; able to clearly synthesize and present complex analyses to senior stakeholders.
- Natural leader and mentor with a collaborative, low‑ego mindset.
- Highly motivated, self‑starter with strong organizational skills, intellectual curiosity, and a hands‑on approach.
- MBA is not required, but welcome.
