Full Charge Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a highly skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Birmingham, Michigan. This Contract to permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of clients, including those in the automotive industry, while managing key financial operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proficient in Quick Books, and capable of handling complex bookkeeping tasks with accuracy.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy in debits and credits.

- Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes efficiently.

- Reconcile bank accounts and prepare detailed financial reports.

- Collaborate with clients and controllers to address financial needs and provide solutions.

- Assist automotive dealership clients with industry-specific bookkeeping requirements.

- Utilize Quick Books (Desktop and Online) to maintain and update financial records.

- Conduct payroll processing and ensure compliance with company policies.

- Perform intermediate-level tasks in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.

- Support fraud prevention efforts by analyzing financial data and identifying irregularities.

- Provide on-site assistance to clients as needed for interim bookkeeping support. Requirements - Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper, with a strong track record in financial management.

- Proficiency in Quick Books Desktop and Online versions.

- Solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.

- Advanced knowledge of bank reconciliation and financial reporting.

- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.

- Familiarity with the automotive industry is preferred.

- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to work independently and adapt to client-specific needs.
