As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Trader / Investment Analyst to join our team and contribute to the strategic growth of the firm.

Position Overview

As a Trader / Investment Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our trading and portfolio management functions. You'll execute trades, support portfolio operations, and contribute to investment research while working within our technology stack — including Tamarac, custodial platforms, and proprietary tools. This position offers hands-on experience in portfolio management, rebalancing, risk analysis, and the opportunity to help evolve our investment systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute trades across client accounts to maintain target allocations and investment strategies.
  • Process orders in Tamarac for model updates, cash management, rebalancing, tax-loss harvesting, and new account funding.
  • Manage daily investment operations, including cash management, reconciliations, and risk monitoring.
  • Manage cash flows by raising or investing funds to meet client requirements.
  • Perform both discretionary and non-discretionary trades in accordance with client instructions.
  • Conduct portfolio-wide rebalancing to ensure alignment with investment objectives.
  • Support portfolio analysis and ongoing portfolio management activities.
  • Perform macroeconomic and market research to support investment decisions.
  • Conduct risk analysis and monitor exposures across client accounts.
  • Collaborate with advisors and operations staff to ensure accurate trade execution and reporting.
  • Maintain trade logs, perform accuracy checks, and ensure compliance documentation is complete.
  • Utilize Excel extensively for performance, risk, and portfolio data processing.
  • Assist with research projects, dashboard development, and internal investment reporting.

Note:

Responsibilities may evolve with the needs of the firm.

Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, preferably in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of equity, fixed income, mutual fund, and ETF trading mechanics.
  • Knowledge of trading, rebalancing, asset allocation, and portfolio mathematics.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills, including experience working with large data sets.
Preferred
  • Familiarity with portfolio management systems and custodial platforms.
  • Experience with Tamarac or similar trading/rebalancing software (Black Diamond, Addepar, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Knowledge of macroeconomic indicators and their impact on markets.
  • Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including retirement plans, and paid time off.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement within a dynamic and growing organization.
