Overview

Roadside Technician - Commercial Tires, Birmingham, AL. Role involves emergency response tire service for semi-truck fleets. When a customer has a tire-related failure, a Technician is dispatched to the location to repair or change the tire. Technicians are roadside when performing duties and may help mount orders, clean and organize the shop, and perform other general duties when there are no service calls.

• Respond to tire-related failures and perform tire repair or change at customer locations.
• Assist with mounting orders and general shop duties as needed.
• Maintain safety and compliance with policies while servicing customers on the road.

Starting pay: $22.25 hourly.

There is a mandatory on-call rotation. On-call periods may require after-hours service calls, including weekends and nights, with a high expectation of after-hours responsiveness (e.g., 95% acceptance rate).

• Valid driver’s license and meet commercial driver qualification requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous Commercial Service Tire experience preferred.

• Servicing Commercial Tires including dismounting, mounting, and repairing tires.
• Perform match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout checks as necessary.
• Inflating tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements.
• Complying with OSHA regulations and safety requirements (proper PPE, tire cages, and safety procedures).
