Part-Time Courier; Mid Shift

Part‑Time Courier (Mid Shift 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM)

Life South Community Blood Centers is looking for a part‑time courier to transport blood and blood products to and from customers and other Life South branches. The courier will prepare items for shipment, verify deliveries, and maintain records of all materials.

• Inspect delivery vehicle daily, ensuring supplies are present, vehicle cleanliness, proper operating condition, and compliance with all state and local laws.
• Package and deliver blood products to service‑area clients or to other transportation agencies.
• Collect blood products from mobile drawing sites or area clients and deliver them to the components laboratory.
• Run errands, deliver documents, pick up supplies, and transport small items for repair.
• Load/unload and deliver materials to and/or from the branch and customers.
• Operate hand truck to move shipments.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and meet Life South driver eligibility requirements.
• Ability to work a varied schedule, including some night, weekend, and on‑call hours.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, proportions, percentages).
• Physical ability to perform frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 70 pounds, as well as occasional stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, climbing, and overhead lifting.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred.
