About the roleThe CDL Driver II will operate walking floor trailers and single-frame roll off trailers while transporting non-hazardous materials within Alabama and nearby regional areas. This is a local home-daily driving role based out of the Birmingham facility. Drivers must be able to safely operate a manual-transmission commercial vehicle.
Primary Responsibilities- Operate walking floor trailers and roll off trailers to transport non-hazardous materials.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment.
- Follow all DOT, company, and safety procedures.
- Complete all required transportation and equipment-related paperwork.
- Maintain communication with dispatch regarding daily instructions, schedule updates, and any possible delays.
- Support facility needs by running routes assigned based on the day's workload.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Valid CDL Class
A. - Experience operating walking floor trailers.
- Acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work Monday through Saturday.
- Tanker endorsement preferred, not required.
- Hazmat endorsement preferred, not required.
- Experience with regional and local hauling.
- Experience with roll off equipment preferred.
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb for extended periods of time.
- Ability to reach, grab, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
- Ability to work in various outdoor weather conditions.
- Clear vision and hearing for safe vehicle operation.
- Home daily local driving.
- Monday through Saturday.

Pay TransparencyReworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable).
