** About the role
** The CDL Driver II will operate walking floor trailers and single-frame roll off trailers while transporting non-hazardous materials within Alabama and nearby regional areas. This is a local home-daily driving role based out of the Birmingham facility. Drivers must be able to safely operate a manual-transmission commercial vehicle.

Primary Responsibilities
* Operate walking floor trailers and roll off trailers to transport non-hazardous materials.
* Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment.
* Follow all DOT, company, and safety procedures.
* Complete all required transportation and equipment-related paperwork.
* Maintain communication with dispatch regarding daily instructions, schedule updates, and any possible delays.
* Support facility needs by running routes assigned based on the day’s workload.
* Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
* Must be 21 years or older.
* Valid CDL Class

A.
* Experience operating walking floor trailers.
* Acceptable driving record.
* Ability to work Monday through Saturday.

Preferred Qualifications
* Tanker endorsement preferred, not required.
* Hazmat endorsement preferred, not required.
* Experience with regional and local hauling.
* Experience with roll off equipment preferred.

Physical Demands of the Role
* Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb for extended periods of time.
* Ability to reach, grab, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
* Ability to work in various outdoor weather conditions.
* Clear vision and hearing for safe vehicle operation.

Shift Details
* Home daily local driving.
* Monday through Saturday.
* Start time assigned the day before.
