POSITION:
Plumbing Helper

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Plumbing Helper assists plumbers and supervisors with the installation and maintenance of plumbing systems on construction job sites. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals who are willing to learn the plumbing trade while working safely and productively as part of a team.

The Plumbing Helper is expected to follow directions, maintain a strong work ethic, and contribute to a safe and organized jobsite.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Assist plumbers with installation of piping, fixtures, and plumbing equipment.

* Carry, load, and unload materials and tools.

* Measure, cut, and assemble pipe as directed.

* Keep work areas clean and organized.

* Follow instructions from supervisors and lead plumbers.

* Attend safety meetings and follow all company safety rules.

* Use required personal protective equipment (PPE).

* Report unsafe conditions immediately.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

* Willingness to learn and work hard.

* Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.

* Basic understanding of construction safety practices.

* Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor.

* Ability to work in various weather conditions and jobsite environments.

Preferred

* Previous construction experience.

* OSHA 10 certification.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

* Work may be indoors or outdoors.

* May require working in tight spaces, on ladders, or at heights.

* Requires standing, bending, lifting, climbing, and use of hand and power tools.

* Travel between job sites may be required.
