Company overview: leading provider of uniformed officer services and integrated security solutions across the southern United States. Integrated Security Department specializes in deploying and maintaining mobile surveillance units equipped with advanced cameras, radar, and deterrent systems.
Position summary:
We are seeking a technician to join our tech team, focused on the deployment, assembly, and maintenance of mobile surveillance units. The role is based in Birmingham, AL, with significant travel required to support deployments across the U.S. This position is hands-on, blending technical work with field deployment.
- Assemble, deploy, and maintain mobile surveillance units (trailers with cameras, radar, speakers, and deterrent systems)
- Troubleshoot and repair IP camera systems, network devices, and alarm systems
- Ensure all networked equipment communicates effectively
- Participate in field deployments, which may require travel for up to a week at a time
- Operate company vehicles and tow trailers as needed
- Technical mindset with experience in IP camera systems (AXIS preferred; legacy experience with Hondwa a plus)
- Familiarity with alarm systems, access control, and automated gates is a plus
- Ability to learn and work with radar technology (training provided)
- Strong problem-solving skills and initiative
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required; experience towing trailers preferred
- Willingness to travel frequently and work in a field environment

- Role is contract-to-hire, with BG check, drug screening, and MVR verification required

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Birmingham, AL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 – $20.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
