• Maintain the engine and equipment on waste collection trucks.
• Provide courteous service to truck drivers who operate these trucks daily.
• Engage with drivers to positively impact the community.
• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnose problems, and complete repairs on company vehicles and equipment.
• Troubleshoot vehicle and equipment operation issues and perform repairs as needed.
• Attend safety meetings and classes; maintain tools and a safe, tidy shop.
• Weld and fabricate parts as needed.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of vehicle and equipment operation and maintenance principles.
• Knowledge of vehicle and equipment diagnostics and repair principles.
• Skill in the use of tools and equipment used in vehicle and equipment maintenance.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Welding skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and identify problems and devise solutions.
