Overview
Seeking Commercial and Industrial Electricians for a Two-Year Project in Alabama. Wallace Electric Company Inc is hiring permanent and contractual electricians with at least 5+ years of experience in the Commercial and/or Industrial sector. Candidates near Montgomery or Birmingham, AL are preferred for an estimated two-year contract. Roles include Electrician I and Electrician II.
Responsibilities- Electrician I:
Install, repair, and perform maintenance on commercial and industrial electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems; perform specialized tasks such as wiring, lighting installations, and upgrading electrical infrastructure. - Electrician I:
Experience in wire pulling; knowledge of basic voltage colors and panel numbering; conduit bending (install, bend, and run over 100 feet of conduit per day); adhere to safety procedures, codes, blueprints, and technical diagrams. - Electrician I:
Proficient in electrical equipment installation; interpret drawings on work orders; mount equipment to mirror drawings; use hand and power tools, testing devices, and diagnostic equipment. - Electrician I:
Strong problem-solving, communication, attention to detail, and a focus on safety and quality; capable of lifting and working in varied environments; minimum 50 lb lift requirement. - Electrician II:
Install and repair commercial and industrial electrical systems; interpret blueprints; troubleshoot complex issues; perform preventative maintenance and equipment installation; competent with panels, transformers, and motors. - Electrician II:
Work independently and supervise helpers; lead electricians, document work, and ensure safety and compliance on the jobsite; wire pulling experience; knowledge of voltage colors and panel numbering; conduit bending (over 100 feet per day). - Electrician II:
Strong regulatory code knowledge; proficient with hand tools, power tools, testing devices, and diagnostic equipment; prepare material lists; physical capability for demanding conditions (lifting, standing, confined spaces). - Electrician II: 7+ years of practical experience or equivalent education; apprenticeship via IEC or similar program; electrical license (Class II) is a plus but not required.

Qualifications- Electrician I: 5-7 years of practical experience or a combination of practical experience and classroom instruction; vocational/technical schooling or apprenticeship (e.g., IEC) preferred.
- Electrician II: 7+ years of practical experience or equivalent; IEC or similar apprenticeship;
Electrical License (Class II) a plus but not required.
