As a Security Officer - Airport Patrol Driver in Birmingham, AL
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support store teams and shoppers with strong customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting.

This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license per Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements. Join a caring, agile team that acts with integrity.

• Provide customer service to customers, team members, and/or visitors while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of sales floors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and to identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor and control access points as assigned, observe for suspicious behavior, and document observations and actions taken according to site requirements.
• Complete written and/or electronic reports, communicate with site representatives and Allied Universal supervision, and assist with emergency response activities when appropriate.

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
