Job Title:

Roadway Testing Technician (RTT)

Location:

Atlanta, GA (Douglas County)

Base pay range: $25.00/hr - $35.00/hr

Duties/Responsibilities
:

• Perform a variety of on‑site quality control tests, inspections, and project‑specific observations/evaluations.
• Monitor and inspect roadway construction to ensure overall compliance with plans, safety and contract requirements.
• Conduct record‑keeping to ensure all necessary observations are documented.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and client representatives.
• Interpret and work from drawings and specifications.

Education/Experience
:

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in relevant roadway testing.
• Candidate must be a Georgia Department of Transportation RTT Certified Technician.
• ACI certification required.
• Radiation safety training for use of Nuclear Density Gauge required.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable.

Physical Requirements
:

• Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments.
• Ability to carry required instruments and equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Exposure to variable climate and environmental conditions, including extreme cold and heat.
