We are seeking an Associate, Growth Merchant Lead (aGML) to join an Outside Sales team focused on expanding into emerging and underserved markets. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional who thrives in face-to-face, transactional sales and enjoys building new business relationships from the ground up.
You will be responsible for identifying, pitching, and closing new restaurant partnerships within your assigned territory. While the role is remote, it is highly field-based, requiring frequent travel to meet local restaurant owners in person.
What You’ll Do- Travel throughout emerging and rural markets to expand the company’s footprint
- Identify, engage, and close new restaurant partnerships
- Pitch value propositions and negotiate partnership agreements with small and mid-sized businesses
- Manage a fast-paced, high-volume deal cycle with quick turnaround times
- Collaborate closely with a Regional Sales Manager to align on strategy, targets, and market insights
- Use provided sales tools (sales collateral, business cards, incentives, etc.) to support closing efforts
- Build repeatable sales strategies and contribute to scalable growth initiatives
- Travel is required at least 50% of the time
- Most travel will be within 2 hours of the assigned city, with occasional:
- Overnight stays (hotel covered)
- Longer travel days (6-7 hours driving or flights)
- All travel expenses are covered and monitored for compliance
- Base Pay: $29/hour
- Commission: Paid per new restaurant partnership
- OTE: Approximately $1,750/month in commission (uncapped)
- 2+ years of successful sales experience, preferably closing SMB accounts
- Strong preference for candidates with experience selling to restaurants, food & beverage, or hospitality businesses
- Comfortable with in-person sales and relationship building
- Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment
- Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Willing and able to travel frequently
