The Opportunity

This position is part of a sales team focused on the psychiatry space, responsible for the performance of a long-acting injectable therapy for schizophrenia as well as promoting our existing Psychiatry products in the Huntsville, AL area. The Sales Specialist delivers results by working collaboratively in a compliant and ethical manner. You will align resources to meet organizational objectives, uphold Teva’s culture and values, analyze trends, and apply knowledge in customer interactions to deliver value.

You will plan and complete business activities via aligned objectives, analytics, and available resources, and build strong networks with internal and external stakeholders. You’ll communicate effectively and help move the customer toward solutions.

How You’ll Spend Your Day
  • Achieve all sales performance goals and objectives for the geographical assignment
  • Demonstrate a collaborative sales approach and coordinate efforts between sales leadership, other Teva sales teams, market access, sales operations, and training
  • Develop effective business plans to meet and exceed territory-level sales goals; sell in different settings of care and identify key business opportunities
  • Build rapport with employees and external contacts (e.g., HCPs and office staff) at all levels, addressing their needs
  • Provide healthcare product demonstrations, physician detailing, and in-servicing of products to current and potential customers
  • Consult with physicians, nurses, and medical office staff to promote products and provide product and patient education
  • Maintain a call average as outlined in the sales plan, focusing on top target customers
  • Apply problem-solving techniques to improve performance and company effectiveness
  • Adhere to Teva’s compliance policies and guidelines

Your Experience And Qualifications

Along with a results-oriented mindset, self-assurance and an engaging manner, the ideal candidate has:

Education/Certification/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Pharmaceutical sales experience preferred; experience in psychiatric therapeutic areas strongly preferred
  • Record of achieving sales goals and building effective customer relationships
  • Experience launching products in the psychiatric space across multiple settings of care
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
  • Ability to interact with customers in live and virtual environments and proficiency with technology
  • Understanding of reimbursement coverage and pull-through strategies; experience in CMHC, specialty pharmacy, private practice
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of reimbursement, managed care, or marketing; strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience calling on community mental health centers (CMHC) is a plus
  • Willingness to travel as required (may include overnight/weekend)
  • Valid US driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass background, motor, and drug screening
  • Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds
