Join Gulf Distributing Holdings LLC as a Sales Representative.
Position ObjectiveThe salesperson is responsible for improving sales of company products in assigned accounts.
Responsibilities- Conduct complete sales calls on all assigned accounts in proper sequence.
- Sell and merchandise beer and non-alcoholic products per GDH standards.
- Equalize order quantities with retailers.
- Use point of sale properly.
- Use sales history as a selling tool.
- Request additional placements, ads, displays, signs, price reductions per call.
- Keep marketing plan and tracking charts updated daily.
- Participate in incentive programs.
- Call back on accounts when necessary to complete merchandising.
- Prepare POS materials for drivers/merchandisers.
- Maintain positive relationships with owners, managers, employees.
- Avoid retailer contacts during busy times.
- Be aware of competitive activity and opportunities to increase sales.
- Check and note competitor pricing for parity.
- Pursue new placements and lower price points on promotions.
- Request competitors’ shelf space for new or expanding placements.
- Improve shelf position within cooler, warm shelf, floor displays.
- Advise and train retailers on selling, merchandising, pricing.
- Demonstrate sincere interest in each account’s success.
- Maintain open and clear communications with owners, managers, employees.
- Report new competitive activity, price information to manager.
- Share information at weekly sales meetings.
- Have orders available for downloading at assigned times.
- Communicate tasks to drivers for displays, placements, POS.
- Ensure proper stock rotation in assigned accounts.
- Return re‑delivered product to warehouse for next account.
- Swap out‑of‑date code dates and damaged product.
- Keep vehicle clean, orderly, serviced regularly.
- Dress and maintain professional appearance.
- Properly operate, protect, return all equipment issued.
- Conduct all activities within company policies and procedures.
- Report traffic violations, accidents, injuries to manager.
- Work in accordance with liquor control regulations.
- Perform safe work practices, policies, procedures.
- Execute monthly sales features secured by chain department.
- All other duties as assigned.
- 1 year sales experience preferred.
- Self‑starter with ability to manage others efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
