Base + Commission. Top performers can earn well over $100,000 annually! - Car allowance + mileage reimbursement through Car Data Program.

- Territory:
The Business Development Manager will cover the state of Alabama. - Hours:
Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm (with flexibility to meet the needs of the business)
As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business in your territory. You will interface directly with convenience store operators on a daily basis and build a profitable value-added business partnership and relationship. You will educate customers on products and programs available through Core-Mark.
A successful candidate will have effectively demonstrated ability to influence, provide a unique perspective, engage with customers on linking their priorities to our value proposition and understand the competitive landscape. This individual should possess strong attention to detail, critical thinking, communication skills and a drive to win.
Responsibilities- Increase profitable revenue opportunities.
- Cold call within your geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
- Meet potential customers by growing and leveraging your network.
- Research and build relationships with new potential customers.
- Work with division and corporate team to develop proposals for potential customers addressing their needs, concerns, and objectives.
- Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
- Arrange and participate in internal and external customer debriefs.
- Present to and consult with division and corporate management on business trends in effort to develop new services, products, and distribution opportunities.
- Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
- Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
- Present business development training and mentoring to others.
- Participate in relevant industry events and networking opportunities.
- Perform other duties.
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
- 2+ years of B2B sales and consulting experience is required.
- Must own a reliable vehicle with valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Experience in food service, wholesale, grocery, or retail convenience industries.
- Experience with CRM platforms – Sales Force, SAP, Power BI.
