Commercial Flooring - Sales Representative

Position

The Commercial Multi‑Family Flooring Sales Representative is an individual who enjoys working with customers and growing their account base for further sales. This role involves cold‑calling, responding to RFPs, preparing proposals for bid opportunities, and selling home flooring solutions. The candidate must identify potential customers, build accounts through face‑to‑face meetings and written proposals, and take ownership of all project management, including measuring and being present during delivery and installation.

Successful representatives build and maintain effective relationships with field service professionals and administrative staff while advocating for customers and maintaining acceptable profit margins. Prior experience in the multi‑family flooring industry is highly preferred.

• Identify prospective customers and respond to requests for proposals in a timely manner.
• Maintain contact with the customer after agreements are signed to ensure all work is completed correctly and on time.
• Maintain effective relationships with field service personnel.
• Conduct job‑site visits as necessary to ensure proper installation and customer satisfaction.

• Effective selling and closing skills.
• Experience in the flooring industry highly preferred.
• Prior sales experience in flooring.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Self‑motivated team player with strong work ethic.
• Some sales experience preferred; B2B experience a plus.
• Willing and able to learn new products and trade knowledge.
