$15.00 to $18.00 per hour

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions, and assists with inquiries and problem resolution.

The associates work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. The position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity.

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and recommend financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Handles cash and negotiable items according to policies and procedures.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Explains legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, and supports a positive customer experience.
• Completes assigned training and other related duties as needed.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, crouch, climb, push, and pull for extended periods as required by the role and law.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• May be asked to assist customers on exterior areas of the property.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; basic math and cash handling experience preferred.
• Willingness to work at multiple locations as needed and to follow a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on personal performance; further details are provided during the interview process.
