Position Summary
We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six (6+) months of management/third key experience. Assistant Store Managers are accountable for the day-to-day operations of the store and promoting a positive/productive environment. This position will partner with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals and manage Customer Relations / Customer Satisfaction.
This position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. Pay will be based on experience and location.

- Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
- Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through company‑prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, counting cash drawers and merchandise, ensuring procedures are followed to protect assets.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
- Administer processes and procedures within the store, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and enterprise‑level reporting.
- Evaluate the store’s financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
- Maintain operating standards to meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity of all loans issued.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self‑development as requested.
- Communicate clearly with employees to ensure they understand the store’s mission and profit objectives.
- Remain up‑to‑date on product knowledge.
- Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Will be able to perform duties for extended periods of time, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
- Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
- Minimum age 18 years old.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
- Ready to work in multiple locations and a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- 40+ hours a week; hours not guaranteed.
- Computer literate with POS and office applications.
- Excellent multitask, organization, analytical, cash‑handling and independent work skills.
- Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.
Assistant Store Managers can earn 2‑8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance.
