Salary: $65,000.00 – $70,000.00

We are seeking an Executive Chef to lead culinary operations for Morrison Healthcare’s acute‑care facilities in Birmingham, AL. The Executive Chef will oversee kitchen operations, maintain a safe and sanitary environment, and ensure that meal preparation aligns with corporate programs and guidelines.

• Plan regular and modified menus according to established guidelines.
• Follow standardized recipes, portioning, and presentation standards, completing daily production worksheets and waste logs, and tasting finished meals for quality assurance.
• Train kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, equipment operation, and sanitation based on company and regulatory standards.
• Establish and maintain cleaning, maintenance, and inventory schedules, ensuring staff compliance.
• Maintain inventory of food and non‑food supplies, staying within guidelines while ensuring product availability.
• Make decisions regarding utilization of leftover food products within company guidelines.
• Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations, evidenced by local and third‑party audits.
• Follow facility, department, and company safety policies, including incident reporting.
• Participate in departmental meetings, staff development, and professional programs as appropriate.

• A.S. or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three to five years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
• Extensive catering experience (a plus).
• High‑volume, complex food‑service operations experience (highly desirable).
• Institutional and batch‑cooking experience.
• Hands‑on chef experience (required).
• Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and the Internet.
• Serv Safe certification (highly desirable).
