Position Summary
Baptist Health Princeton Hospital
Provides leadership & operational oversight for an inpatient direct care unit or units. Accountable for achievement of department and hospital goals in concert with other hospital and medical staff leadership.
ResponsibilitiesLeads and oversees daily nursing operations to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and compliance with regulatory standards.
Recruits, develops, mentors, and manages nursing staff to build a strong, engaged team.
Manages departmental performance, including staffing, budgeting, and operational efficiency.
Promotes a culture of safety, quality improvement, and excellent patient experience.
Supports evidence-based nursing practice and implementation of new technologies, services, and processes.
Education/Training
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred
Licensure/Certification
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Alabama.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Within 2 years of hire - National leadership board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL).
Experience
- Two (2) years as a registered nurse in CVICU and at least one (1) year nursing leadership experience.
