Position: OR Nurse (RN) - Birmingham, Alabama
A Registered Nurse with a specialty in Neuro/Spine is needed for a contract position in the Operating Room at a reputable medical center in Birmingham, AL. This role involves working in a 24-bed unit focused on surgical patients, specifically within neuro and spine specialties. The position requires a professional committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic OR environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room, focusing on neuro and spine surgeries.
• Collaborate closely with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Operate and assist with specialized equipment including the Da Vinci Robot and Max Face systems, with potential exposure to orthopedic procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the Cerner EMR system.
• Participate in call rotations as required by the team.
• Adhere strictly to dress code policies, including wearing navy scrubs and prohibiting certain attire such as T-shirts, fleece jackets, hoods, and nail polish.

Qualifications and

Experience:

• Current Registered Nurse licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Neuro/Spine Operating Room nursing.
• Certification in BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association).
• Familiarity with robotic surgery platforms a plus.
• Ability to float within a 25-mile radius of the medical center.
• Commitment to high standards of professional appearance and conduct.

Shift and

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
• Guaranteed 36 weekly hours.
• Call requirements vary based on the assigned team.
