Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Main OR position specializing in neuro/spine surgery, requiring 2+ years of OR experience and an Alabama or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Work in the Main OR of a large 595-bed acute care hospital in Birmingham, AL,

• Neuro/spine surgical patient population with 1:1 patient ratio,

• 24-bed OR unit,

• Preferred experience with Da Vinci Robot, Maxillofacial, and Orthopedic procedures,

• Schedule is 4x10-hour shifts, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM,

• On-call is required; specific call schedule varies by team and is discussed during the interview,

• No weekend hours required,

• EMR:
Cerner,

• Floating required within a 25-mile radius of home campus,

Job Requirements

• Active AL RN license or compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration,

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only; American Red Cross not accepted),

• Minimum 2 years of recent neuro/spine OR experience required,

• Candidate's SSN and DOB are required for consideration,

• An area-specific skills checklist is required for consideration,

• Provide perioperative nursing care to neuro/spine surgical patients,

• Navy scrubs required; t-shirts, fleece jackets, hooded garments, and nail polish are not permitted,
