Travel Med Surg RN

GHR Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a 13‑week night‑shift assignment in Birmingham, Alabama. We are looking for a compassionate, experienced registered nurse who can work 12‑hour nights (6:30 PM–7:00 AM) with alternating weekends.

• Location: Birmingham, AL 35243
• Assignment type: Travel RN, 13 weeks
• Unit: Medical–Surgical (Med/Surg)
• Start date: March 17, 2026
• End date: June 16, 2026
• Shift: 12‑hour nights, alternating weekends
• Hours per week: 36
• Estimated weekly salary: $1,570 – $1,650

• Active, unrestricted RN license in the U.S.
• Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg experience (preferred)
• BLS certification required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility (travel RN requirement)

• Provide high‑quality, compassionate care to adult Med/Surg patients as a bedside RN.
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, progress, and responses to treatment using Cerner EMR.
• Administer medications, IVs, and treatments as prescribed; manage nursing procedures and clinical tasks.
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions for safe transitions of care.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards for quality patient outcomes.
