GHR Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a 13‑week night‑shift assignment in Birmingham, Alabama. We are looking for a compassionate, experienced registered nurse who can work 12‑hour nights (6:30 PM–7:00 AM) with alternating weekends.

- Assignment type: Travel RN, 13 weeks
- Unit: Medical–Surgical (Med/Surg)
- Start date: March 17, 2026
- End date: June 16, 2026
- Shift: 12‑hour nights, alternating weekends
- Hours per week: 36
- Estimated weekly salary: $1,570 – $1,650
- Active, unrestricted RN license in the U.S.
- Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg experience (preferred)
- BLS certification required
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- Permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility (travel RN requirement)
- Provide high‑quality, compassionate care to adult Med/Surg patients as a bedside RN.
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, progress, and responses to treatment using Cerner EMR.
- Administer medications, IVs, and treatments as prescribed; manage nursing procedures and clinical tasks.
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions for safe transitions of care.
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards for quality patient outcomes.
