ResponsibilitiesTHE SPECIALTY CARE SERVICES STAFF NURSE is a professional nurse who assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for Patients/families in his/her area.

Registered Nurse AL Single State or any of the following equivalent qualifications below - Registered Nurse AL NLC Multi State
- Registered Nurse Non-AL NLC Multi State
- Basic Life Support
Education with Equivalent

Bachelor of Science Nursing in Nursing or any of the following equivalent qualifications below - Associate of Science Nursing in Nursing and 1 Year job experience as Staff Level with specialization in the field of Nursing Outpatient
Experience with Equivalent

- Nonessential: 1 Year job experience as Staff Level with specialization in the field of Nursing Outpatient
The Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition Division at Children's of Alabama provides comprehensive multidisciplinary evaluation and management of pediatric gastrointestinal, liver and nutritional problems. These may include conditions such as liver disease, feeding disorders, eosinophilic esophagitis, functional GI disorders, intestinal rehabilitation, and inflammatory bowel disease. Academic Fellows, Residents and Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners also provide world-class, disease-specific care in this area under the supervision of the attending MD.
Multidisciplinary patient-centered care is the focus of the Division. Close interaction with Pediatric Surgery, Radiology, Pathology, Anesthesiology and Nutrition services provide ample opportunity for optimizing patient care. Gastroenterology and GI Surgery continues to be named among the nation’s best children’s hospitals by U.S. News and World Report.
