Key Responsibilities
  • Healthcare Unit Management:
    Under the Director of Nursing’s guidance, oversee the nursing program and provide direct supervision for one shift while sharing 24-hour responsibility for nursing and paraprofessional staff.
  • Supervise the preparation and maintenance of patient care records and treatment documentation.
  • Staff Recruitment and Development:
    Participate in the hiring, orientation, and training of new nursing staff.
  • Schedule and conduct performance evaluations for non-supervisory nursing personnel regularly.
  • Policy and Program Development:
    Assist in developing and implementing healthcare unit policies, procedures, and regulations. Collaborate with the Director of Nursing on policy and program improvements.
  • Training and

    Collaboration:

    Actively participate in in-service training programs and staff meetings.
  • Work alongside physicians and interdisciplinary team members to initiate and review healthcare plans.
  • Communication and Reporting:
    Act as a liaison between nursing staff and the Director of Nursing to share pertinent updates and improve healthcare delivery.
  • Prepare and submit required daily, monthly, and annual reports to administrative staff.
  • Supervision and Emergency Care:
    Plan and supervise nursing care techniques and emergency medical responses per facility policies.
  • Lead CPR procedures during emergencies and ensure annual recertification training.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:
    Ensure adherence to security protocols for medications, supplies, and equipment.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities and follow infection control practices, including standard precautions and personal protective equipment usage.
Administrative Duties
  • Attend staff and administrative meetings as required.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned by management.
Key Qualifications
  • Education:

    Graduation from an approved nursing education program with a diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) is recommended.
  • Experience:

    At least two (2) years of professional nursing experience is required. One (1) year of experience in healthcare or nursing administration is preferred.
  • Certifications:

    Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is required.
  • Skills and

    Competencies:

    Strong critical thinking and organizational skills. Decisive judgment, effective communication, and excellent customer service abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a stressful environment while taking appropriate actions.
  • Compliance:
    Adherence to all Yes Care and departmental policies and procedures is mandatory. Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirements.
  • Requirements:
    Must pass a background check, security clearance, and drug screening. Must be capable of maintaining professional performance in high-stress environments.
