Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Behavioral Health & Juvenile Care Birmingham, AL | $28/hr

Make a real impact every day by providing compassionate medical and psychiatric support to youth in a secure juvenile facility. We're seeking a dedicated LPN who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and delivers safe, accurate care with professionalism.

• Administer medications safely and document accurately.
• Support psychiatric and medical care, assisting physicians and clinical staff during exams.
• Respond to youth complaints using approved first‑aid measures and standing orders.
• Collect lab specimens (blood, urine, sputum, fecal, throat).
• Execute clinical orders—verbal and written—with precision.
• Maintain clinic readiness by keeping areas clean, stocked, and safe.
• Supervise assigned youth during clinic cleaning tasks to ensure safety.
• Chart all visits daily to maintain compliant medical records.

This role supports a secure juvenile correctional facility serving adjudicated male youth, many under 16. The team provides medical, psychiatric, behavioral health, education, and rehabilitative services designed to help youth develop skills and successfully transition back to their communities.

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Strong psych/behavioral health experience preferred
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a secure, structured environment

$28 per hour
