Position Overview

Shifts:

full-time and part-time AM and PM, weekends AM and PM, flexi/PRN.

Work location:

various UAB St. Vincent's facilities.

We have openings available for experienced RNs and new graduate nurses to join our community care teams at UAB St. Vincent’s facilities across central Alabama. These openings include a wide variety of practice environments, including acute care, emergency, ICU, and the cath lab. Job Description

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate. Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well‑coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Qualifications
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date may be required depending on the unit. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Education:

    Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing and professional licensure at time of hire required.
