Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a SICU ICU night shift position with every other weekend and critical care float requirements.

• Work in a Surgical Intensive Care Unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes stroke, complex post-op surgical cases, respiratory distress, and COVID
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 2:1
• Shift is 12-hour nights
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating is required to critical care areas as needed within skillset
• Uses Cerner for charting
• Special procedures include External Ventricular Drain (EVD)
• Care for high acuity SICU patients including those with neurological and post-surgical needs
• Collaborate with the ICU team to provide comprehensive patient care
• Scrub color requirements apply
• No on-call required
• Holiday coverage requirements may apply

• Active AL or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Prior ICU experience required
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR preferred
