The Partnership Development Manager is responsible for growing FC Birmingham’s sponsorship, donor, grant, and group ticket revenue while strengthening relationships across the Birmingham community. This part‑time role focuses on outreach, proposal development, partner engagement, and matchday activation support. The position plays a key role in the club’s long‑term sustainability and serves as an entry point into future leadership opportunities within the organization.
Responsibilities- Identify, contact, and secure new corporate sponsors
- Maintain and renew existing partnerships
- Develop sponsorship proposals
- Cultivate individual and corporate donors
- Support research and preparation of grant applications
- Assist with planning and executing fundraising events
- Sell group ticket packages and coordinate group experiences
- Manage partner communication and relationship follow‑up
- Support matchday sponsor activation, signage, VIP hospitality, and logistics
- Attend home First Team matches (Men & Women) when possible for partner engagement
- Collaborate with Community Relations and Marketing to ensure consistent messaging and activation quality
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Comfortable with outreach, sales conversations, and meeting new people
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple leads and deadlines
- Professional, reliable, and able to represent the club with integrity
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Basic proficiency with email, CRM tools, and presentation software
- Availability for occasional evenings and weekends during home matches and events
- Prior experience in sales, partnerships, fundraising, or community engagement is preferred but not required
- Passion for sports, community development, or nonprofit work is a plus
This role includes a part‑time base stipend with significant commission upside. Earnings increase based on new sponsor ships, renewals, donations, grants, and group ticket sales, with additional bonuses for multi‑year partnerships and exceptional quarterly or annual performance. The structure is designed to reward initiative, relationship‑building, and results, with clear pathways for increased responsibility and income.
