** About the role
** As an
** Equipment Operator**, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient processing of inbound materials, refuse of various forms through Reworld’ s industrial disposal process and maintenance of the equipment.
*
* Position Responsibilities:

**** Waste processing:
*** Receive and process inbound materials, through the safe operation of various types of industrial equipment, such as: forklift, track hoe, skid steer, excavator, vacuum truck, tanker truck, roll-off truck, walking floor trailer, pressure washer, material handling equipment, and various hand tools
* Receive, weigh, unpack, and label containers, as necessary
* Safely operate industrial equipment to consolidate dumped refuse on the tipping floor
* Follow defined industrial and manufacturing good housekeeping practices at all Covanta facilities and within assigned work areas
* Exterior site maintenance and improvement, as needed, which includes litter collection, painting, snow removal and ice prevention
* Traffic Control for incoming/outgoing traffic
* Additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operations.
** Position

Requirements & Qualifications:

*** High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
* A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment
* Heavy equipment operator skills
* Current valid driver's license required, CDL license is a plus.
** Physical Demands of the Role:
*** Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb
* Ability to lift/carry 50lbs
* Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces
* Qualify to wear a full-face respirator
* Consistently work in various weather conditions
** Shift Work**:
* This position works on an 8-hour shift and must be able to work occasional extended shifts, weekends and some holidays.
