Position SummaryRoyal Cup Coffee is currently seeking entry-level and experienced maintenance technicians to support equipment in our highly automated coffee roasting and packaging facility. Key Responsibilities- Provide maintenance work, including minor repairs to production machinery and building systems to maintain safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Perform cleaning of roaster piping prior to Automatic Clean Out.
- Perform preventive maintenance of air handling filters and cooling coils.
- Safely and effectively use basic shop equipment and hand tools, including electric hand tools.
- Read schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Maintain accurate records in a CMMS for work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history.
- Communicate effectively with Maintenance Lead Technician and Maintenance Supervisor.
- Maintain sanitation, housekeeping, and work area cleanliness.
- Participate in continuing training and adhere to safety programs.
- Strive to meet cost objectives.
- Attend company-mandated meetings.
- Train in new skills and technology continuously.
- Adhere to GMP, quality, and food safety requirements.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED).
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and workflow procedures.
- Solid understanding of LOTO and NFPA 70E regulations.
- Knowledge of environmental, health, safety, and food safety regulations.
- Results‑focused with analytical problem‑solving approach.
- Interest and capability to grow into greater responsibilities.
- Ability to pass a skill‑level pre‑employment assessment for the Maintenance Trainee position.
- Ability to work positively with others.
- Successful completion of the pre‑employment process.
- Experience operating and maintaining packaging and roasting machinery in a high‑volume production facility.
- Prior experience with a CMMS.
- Relevant experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, balancing, reaching, climbing, grasping, typing, reading, talking, and hearing.
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds occasionally, and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Vision: close, distance, depth perception, and focus ability.
- Frequent proximity to production machinery and sometimes near hand jacks or forklifts.
- Variable temperature environment.
