The painter is responsible for the application of a wide range of industrial coatings to manufactured products in accordance with the specification.

• Apply a variety of industrial coatings to fabricated metal products.
• Responsible for the application of industrial coatings in confined spaces.
• Read and understand technical documents such as paint mixing procedures and maintain sprayer equipment as required.
• Clean spraying equipment with solvent or other recommended cleaning solutions daily.
• Maintain the paint mix room while following the company safety policies.
• Assist to appropriately rig large objects for the purpose of moving them in the process of applying the industrial coatings.
• Keeps work area clean and orderly.
• Knows safety rules that apply to the safety of others and to personal safety. Reports the malfunction of equipment to proper authority. Performs other work as instructed by supervision.

• A high school diploma, GED or equivalent*.*
• One or more years prior work experience as an industrial painter.
• Able to operate overhead and jib cranes.
• Able to operate forklift.
• Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.
• Must be willing and able to work shifts, weekends and overtime in a heavy industrial environment.
• Must be physically able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.

• Prior experience operating either overhead or jib cranes.
• Prior experience operating forklift.
