Key Responsibilities
- Drive Alignment & Execution
- Translate CEO and board priorities into clear, cross-functional plans.
- Lead annual planning cycles, quarterly reviews, and performance tracking.
- Surface risks, remove roadblocks, and ensure follow-through on key initiatives.
- Strengthen Executive Team Effectiveness
- Design and facilitate executive team meetings and decision processes.
- Clarify roles, priorities, and decision rights across departments.
- Serve as a neutral thought partner and enterprise-minded advisor.
- Extend the CEO's Capacity
- Prioritize competing demands and protect focus on highest-impact work.
- Prepare and maintain schedules, briefings, talking points, and board materials.
- Ensure the CEO is informed, prepared, and forward-looking.
- Support Governance & Board Engagement
- Coordinate board materials, dashboards, and executive contributions.
- Track follow-up actions and maintain accountability.
- Strengthen communication between leadership and the board.
- Lead Cross-Functional Initiatives
- Take ownership of high-priority projects that span departments.
- Diagnose organizational friction and implement scalable solutions.
- Support change management and enterprise-wide communication efforts.
- Ten or more years in Chief of Staff, strategy, operations, or PMO roles.
- Experience working directly with CEOs and executive teams.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize complex information.
- Expert facilitator and communicator with strong executive presence.
- High discretion and judgment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead without formal authority.
- Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred.
- Well run executive team with fewer bottlenecks.
- CEO time shifted to high-value leadership.
- Coordinated execution across functions.
- Clearer priorities and faster implementation.
- Strong alignment between strategy, operations, people, and finance.

- Hybrid role based in Birmingham.
- Periodic travel to sites, board meetings, and executive sessions.

You operate as the CEO's integrator, a neutral operator who drives enterprise alignment, coordinated execution, and a reliable operating rhythm. You increase executive team effectiveness, improve decision quality and speed, and translate strategy into cross functional action while maintaining clear communication, accountability, and follow through.
