About the Role
The onsite role of the National Director of Sales is a strategic leadership position responsible for driving the overall sales performance and growth across the United States. This role involves developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies that align with the company’s business objectives and market opportunities. The National Director of Sales will lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of Business Development Managers and representatives to maximize revenue generation and market penetration.
They will collaborate closely with marketing, product development, and executive leadership to ensure cohesive efforts in meeting customer needs and expanding the company’s footprint. Ultimately, this position is accountable for achieving sales targets, enhancing customer relationships, and positioning the company as a market leader nationwide.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive sales experience with at least 3 years in a senior sales leadership role.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a national or multi-regional capacity.
- Strong knowledge of sales principles, Salesforce, and sales analytics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to travel up to 75% of the time
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Experience in B2B Groupd Health Insurance Sales and or related industry.
- Familiarity with advanced sales technologies and data-driven sales strategies.
- Demonstrated success in managing large, geographically dispersed sales teams.
- Professional certifications related to sales management or leadership.
- Develop and implement national sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Lead, coach, and manage regional sales teams to optimize performance and professional development.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, and finance to align sales initiatives with company goals.
- Monitor sales metrics and prepare detailed reports for executive leadership to inform strategic decisions.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to drive customer satisfaction and retention.
- Oversee sales forecasting, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure efficient operations.
- Drive continuous improvement in sales processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance team effectiveness.
- The National Director of Sales utilizes strong leadership and communication skills daily to inspire and guide sales teams toward achieving ambitious goals. Analytical skills are essential for interpreting sales data, market trends, and customer insights to make informed strategic decisions. Proficiency with CRM systems and sales analytics tools enables effective tracking of performance metrics and forecasting.
