Branch Manager Job in USA 2026 | Hope Enterprise Corporation

Hope Enterprise Corporation is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead its retail operations in Birmingham, Alabama. This is a senior leadership opportunity within a mission‑driven financial institution that focuses on strengthening the financial health of under‑resourced communities across the Deep South.

While this role is highly attractive for professionals with strong banking and people‑management experience, international candidates need to note that this position does not offer visa sponsorship. Applicants must already have full legal authorization to work in the United States for the entire duration of employment. For globally trained banking professionals who already hold U.S. work rights, this role offers a stable, purpose‑driven career path in a respected community finance organization.

About

Role

The Branch Manager is responsible for the full operational, financial, and people leadership of an assigned HOPE branch. You will oversee daily banking operations, ensure regulatory and policy compliance, drive deposit growth, protect assets, and deliver exceptional member service. This is a hands‑on leadership role combining operations management, team development, sales leadership, and risk control.

You will supervise tellers and member service staff, manage performance, and ensure the branch meets its service, growth, and profitability objectives while maintaining strong community relationships and operational discipline.

About Hiring Firm

HOPE (Hope Enterprise Corporation, Hope Credit Union, and Hope Policy Institute) is a U.S. community development financial institution that has supported more than three million people since 1994 across Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee.

The organization provides financial services, mobilizes capital, and advocates for policies that strengthen economically underserved communities. HOPE is widely recognized for its impact in community development finance and operates under strict regulatory, governance, and risk‑management standards.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee all daily branch operations, cash controls, audits, and security procedures
  • Supervise, coach, and develop tellers, head tellers, and member service representatives
  • Review daily transactions, approve wires and deposits within authority limits, and ensure procedural accuracy
  • Open and close the branch and ensure all reports, checklists, and controls are properly completed
  • Drive member service excellence, deposit growth, and cross‑selling of products and services
  • Recruit, onboard, and train staff while fostering a high‑performance, collaborative culture
  • Ensure full compliance with internal policies, security standards, and all regulatory requirements
  • Maintain branch facilities, branding standards, and operational readiness
  • Collaborate with regional leadership and partners to support sales and community initiatives
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (business or related field preferred)
  • At least 5 years of experience in banking or financial services
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or people‑management experience
  • Strong operational, sales, and risk management background
  • Experience in cross‑selling or performance‑driven retail environments
  • Fluency in English (Spanish is an advantage)
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Must already have legal authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available)

This Branch Manager role at Hope Enterprise Corporation is an excellent opportunity for experienced banking professionals who already hold U.S. work authorization and want to build a meaningful career in community‑focused finance. While it is not suitable for candidates seeking H‑1B or any other visa sponsorship, it offers long‑term stability, strong benefits, and leadership responsibility within a respected U.S. financial institution, making a real social impact.
