Overview
Senior executive role overseeing all legal operations for a private equity/investment management organization and its affiliated entities.
Responsibilities- Lead internal legal team and external counsel, drive legal strategy across the organization, and serve as the primary legal authority.
- Ensure SEC compliance and regulatory governance; manage contract lifecycle; oversee fund creation and structuring; conduct due diligence and risk assessment; supervise estate planning; and develop cybersecurity/data privacy framework.
- Identify legal and compliance issues proactively and establish internal controls and audit procedures.
- Review all private placement memoranda (PPMs) and fund-related agreements; develop standardized policies across business units.
JD required (LL.M. preferred). 5+ years of legal experience in private equity, investment management, or a law firm — with demonstrated leadership experience. Strong working knowledge of SEC compliance, fund operations, and PE structures. Exceptional written communication and attention to detail.
