Position: Paralegal / Legal Assistant Onsite

Overview

Salary: $55,000 - $75,000

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal / Legal Assistant to support attorneys with day-to-day legal and administrative responsibilities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, draft, proofread, and file legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings
  • Manage case files, calendars, deadlines, and court filings
  • Conduct legal research and summarize findings as needed
  • Coordinate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders
  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation, hearings, and closings
  • Maintain confidential records and ensure compliance with legal procedures
  • Provide general administrative support including scheduling and document management
Qualifications
  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal experience preferred
  • 1–3+ years of experience in a law firm or legal department (practice area flexible or specify if needed)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
