A Systems Operations Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining the technical infrastructure that supports business operations. The role involves analyzing system requirements, building and integrating complex systems, troubleshooting issues, optimizing performance, and ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of IT environments. Systems Engineers work closely with cross‑functional teams including software engineers, network administrators, security teams, and project managers to deliver reliable and efficient solutions.

• Directly responsible for the configuration, testing, and deployment of mission critical systems within their realm of responsibility.
• Deploy, install, maintain, and repair systems across the enterprise as well as provide technical support for the applications therein.
• Provide advanced level troubleshooting for Server Infrastructure; responsive to tickets and requests that have been escalated and that are outside the scope of expertise provided from Level 1 and 2 Help Desk support.
• Responsible for proper follow‑up of escalated tickets, providing, in a timely manner, regular updates as it pertains to ticket status.
• Administer systems and environment solutions for multiple projects with varying schedules.
• Select methods and techniques to be used for obtaining solutions.
• Interface with vendors and various internal groups for trouble calls.
• Perform all work in compliance within specified warranty requirements.
• Obey all regulatory requirements regarding system deployment, access, etc.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance and demonstrate a strong work ethic.

• Minimum 3 years of experience with Windows Server systems management.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with systems administration and/or design.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with VMWare vCenter administration and management.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure deployments, environment & services (IAAS, PAAS, virtual machines, Active Directory, automation, Monitor, OMS) is preferred.
• Scripting experience in python, bash, or Power Shell is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and assignments.
• Detail‑oriented individual capable of working independently and within a team.
• Ability to document processes and policies in an easy‑to‑follow format.
• Understanding of VDI design, architecture, and maintenance is preferred.
• Solid understanding of backup technologies and methodologies.
• Knowledge of NAS or SAN technologies and how they operate.

• Knowledge of Net App, Tintri, Pure Storage.
• Cisco UCS experience.
• VMWare/ESXi experience (installation, configuration, upgrade, and management).
• Knowledge of Cohesity and Commvault backup solutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related studies preferred.

• Hybrid (in‑office): 4 days per week.
