Title: ERP Payroll Analyst
- Contract to Hire
Location: Birmingham, AL (looking for local candidates or those who will relocate)
Duration: 6 months contract to hire
Rate: All-Inclusive
Alignment: W2 or C2C
Project Overview: ERP Payroll Analyst is a key member of the Corporate IT Team, providing technical and business support for the company’s internal systems and software. This role focuses on ERP applications, including SAP and non-SAP systems, to support business processes, reporting, and system improvements. The consultant will collaborate with business users, IT teams, and leadership to ensure effective system utilization, data integrity, and process optimization.
Responsibilities- Interpret and deliver reports, analysis, and actionable insights to improve business performance.
- Participate in functional and business requirements gathering sessions with end-users; provide technical guidance to support business case development.
- Collaborate with design, development, and solution management teams; interface with SAP and non-SAP technical teams for custom objects and integrations.
- Design, develop, and execute test plans, including functional unit tests, regression tests, and system integration tests.
- Research and implement application best practices; ensure end-users leverage full system capabilities.
- Support master data and application areas, including integration with other business modules; identify and resolve recurring production issues, documenting root cause analysis and solutions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Bachelor’s degree or 5–7 years of equivalent related experience and/or training.
- Experience with complex ERP implementations and system interfaces.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and customer service skills.
- Proven ability to lead projects, coach, and mentor team members.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and planning skills; ability to work independently.
- Experience with software development best practices, including requirements definition and quality assurance.
- Ability to travel as required for project or user support.
- Valid driver’s license and compliance with company safety policies.
- Willingness work on a 6 month contract to hire basis
