Overview

Job Title: Field Service Technician
Location: Birmingham, AL – Fully Onsite (local travel required)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire

We are seeking a friendly, hands-on Field Service Technician to provide onsite IT support across multiple healthcare centers in the Birmingham market, with occasional travel to Montgomery. This role serves as the primary in-person technical resource for staff, ensuring reliable operation of hardware, software, and connectivity that supports daily care delivery.

• Deliver onsite technical support for end users across assigned locations
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and basic network issues
• Image, configure, install, and replace desktops, laptops, and peripherals
• Communicate clearly with local staff and the broader IT team
• Maintain accurate documentation, prioritization, and follow-up on support requests
• Adhere to IT standards, security policies, and healthcare compliance requirements (HIPAA/CMS)
• Travel locally between sites as part of weekly support coverage

• Experience providing hands-on IT field support or technical troubleshooting
• Strong customer service, communication, and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license
• Professional, business-casual presence
• Healthcare IT or HIPAA familiarity (Bonus)
