Seeking an experienced Epic Orders Analyst for an immediate long term consulting engagement.
The consultant will support ongoing optimization, maintenance, enhancement requests, and upcoming project work related to Epic Orders. The role is primarily remote with occasional onsite visits, typically less than once per month, plus onsite support during go live events.
14 month+ Engagement
Responsibilities- Provide subject matter expertise in Epic Orders, including build, testing, optimization, and workflow analysis
- Partner with clinical and operational stakeholders to evaluate requirements and translate needs into Epic solutions
- Lead and support build activities such as order sets, preference lists, order transmittal, routing, and related configuration
- Troubleshoot issues, perform impact assessments, and support enhancements or break fixes
- Participate in project planning, testing cycles, cutover preparation, and go live support
- Collaborate with cross functional Epic teams to maintain system stability and ensure cohesive workflows across modules
- Maintain documentation for build, change requests, testing, and approvals
- Adhere to organizational standards and regulatory requirements
- Provide remote and onsite support as needed, including during major implementations or optimization initiatives
- Current Epic Orders certification or accreditation
- Strong experience supporting Epic Orders in a hospital or health system environment
- Proven ability to analyze clinical workflows and translate them into effective Epic solutions
- Hands on experience with order sets, preference lists, order transmittal, user workflow optimization, and related build
- Ability to manage multiple requests, prioritize effectively, and communicate clearly with both technical and clinical teams
- Experience participating in testing cycles, change control, cutover, and go live support
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to travel onsite less than once per month and during go live events
