The EDI Communications Technician Specialist is responsible for managing and supporting Electronic Data Interchange communications, with a primary focus on configuring AS2 servers, managing digital certificates, and ensuring reliable data exchange. This role includes system setup, certificate renewals, testing and go-live coordination, troubleshooting communication issues, and providing technical support to maintain seamless EDI operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead onboarding efforts for new customer AS2 connections
- Onboard new EDI trading partners and establish secure communications
- Generate AS2 certificates for customers and coordinate renewals with trading partners
- Work with customers to manage and renew expiring AS2 certificates
- Perform EDI and AS2 module upgrades in both development and production environments
- Provide technical support to internal teams and external customers
- Generate SFTP public/private keys for new EDI implementations and coordinate secure connection setup with trading partners
Education & Experience
- 2+ years of experience in EDI, transportation, or the software industry (required)
- Hands-on experience with AS2 setup and maintenance (required)
- Experience creating or modifying templates (preferred)
- Generate SFTP keys for new EDI implementations (preffered)
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience providing technical support to customers (preferred)
- Working knowledge of the transportation industry (preferred)
