* SUMMARY:

** Under limited supervision, the Dev Ops Engineer III serves as a bridge between the development, security, infrastructure, and operations teams primarily in onboarding new technologies. This role uses a collaborative approach to identify and optimize the interdependencies between these teams, from an applications development, testing, and production perspective.

** JOB DUTIES
*** Builds and maintains the tooling and infrastructure used to automate the release and deployment and adapts existing procedures to reduce the occurrence of errors.
* Deploys updates and bug fixes while providing technical IT support independently.
* Develops and codes software that will integrate with back-end systems while mentoring junior engineers.
* Uses professional expertise to design processes for system troubleshooting and maintenance using Agile software development methods.
* Creates security & architectural diagrams, design specifications, and support documentation.
* Coordinates with Infrastructure and Security peers to establish and assign specific tasks required to meet project expectations.
* Works with Product Owners and Architects to identify infrastructure and security related activities.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
** EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
** Typically requires a bachelor's degree and five (5) to eight (8) years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
** KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
*** Experience with tools such as GIT, Git Hub, Jenkins, Jira, Slack.
* Developed technical knowledge and aptitude.
* Experience with Dev Ops principles.
* Ability to use Agile software development methodologies.
* Experience application security (OWASP Top 10), and Dev Sec Ops .
* Experience with continuous code deployment, test-driven development, and release management.
* Experience with the overall software development lifecycle.
* Knowledge of cloud-based application integrations and software as a service implementation.
* Extensive experience with appropriate programming languages and troubleshooting a wide range of IT issues, including unusual incidents.
