We are hiring a Manager of Desktop Support in our Birmingham headquarters. This person will lead the IT support team, ensuring exceptional service delivery to attorneys and staff across all firm offices. This role oversees communication between end users and IT, manages support operations, and drives continuous improvement in client service.
Responsibilities- Lead and monitor support team performance, reporting service levels to management.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and ensure adherence to policies and best practices.
- Oversee ITSM software integrity and manage vendor relationships.
- Coordinate hardware deployments, inventory tracking, and compliance for firm assets.
- Develop and implement training, mentoring, and process improvements.
- Provide client reports and trend analysis; champion IT security awareness.
- Participate in firm-wide projects and research new technologies for readiness.
- Travel to other offices, as needed, and work beyond normal hours for project or issue resolution.
- 5 years IT support experience in a professional setting required, with law firm experience strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership and client service skills.
- Proven ability to manage high-pressure situations.
- Expertise in Windows OS, MS Office, and Microsoft 365.
- Experience with any of the following is a huge plus - Intune, Aderant, iManage.
- Familiarity with security technologies (SOC/SEIM, EDR, IAM, firewalls) preferred.
- Flexible, team-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
