Enterprise Monitoring Engineer

ANTICIPATED DURATION: 3 year W2 Contract

• Provide infrastructure management product maintenance, configuration customizations, and product integrations.
• Support process and procedure automation to maximize monitoring and management of infrastructure.
• Evaluate new requests, support lifecycle management, and assist with upgrades and patching.
• Design and deliver solutions for monitoring and management systems.
• Support for new and modified monitoring rules and policies.
• Create and maintain product documentation.
• Perform data investigation and ad hoc queries.
• Provide technical leadership in service monitoring and operations management modernization.
• Support 24/7 on-call activities.

• Experience in event management, coding monitoring rules, event correlation, discovery, topologies, stitching, event‑driven automation, and root cause analysis in a large enterprise.
• Administrating and supporting an enterprise monitoring platform (3+ years).
• Knowledge of SNMP, Microservices, PHP programming, Elastic, and Open Search (3+ years).
• Experience with HTML, CSS, SQL, Kubernetes or Docker.
• Shell scripting in Perl and Python (3+ years).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Professional oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of programming languages Python, Ansible, UNIX/Linux shell scripting, and JSON preferred.
• Familiarity with database systems MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle, or DB2.
• Experience with network, computing, storage, and application management standards and conventions such as SNMP, TL1, FCAPS, ITIL, SMI‑S, TMN, and ISO 20000 preferred.
• Effective communication skills across management, vendors, and internal teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or 5+ years experience.
• Professional certificates such as ITIL Foundations or Manager Certification preferred.

• Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools such as Oracle Communications Unified Assurance, Microsoft SCOM, Micro Focus Site Scope, Infoblox DDI, Cisco PRIME, Nokia NSP, or similar.
• Ability to lead change and influence at all levels.

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $60.00 to $75.00. Benefits available to full‑time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
