Position Overview
The FOH Manager at High Dive is the conductor of the guest‑facing experience, ensuring that every touchpoint — from morning coffee service to late‑night cocktails — flows seamlessly. This role bridges leadership and service, working shoulder‑to‑shoulder with the FOH team while overseeing scheduling, training, guest relations, and real‑time floor management. The FOH Manager is a culture‑keeper, problem solver, and operations driver, maintaining High Dive’s inclusive, music‑forward personality while hitting performance and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Service Oversight
- Lead, coach, and motivate FOH staff during all shifts.
- Monitor and maintain service standards, stepping in to assist during peak periods.
- Handle guest concerns quickly and effectively to ensure a positive resolution.
- Staff Development & Training
- Conduct pre‑shift meetings to align the team on daily priorities, menu features, and service updates.
- Support ongoing training for FOH roles, reinforcing High Dive standards and hospitality culture.
- Mentor high‑performing staff for future leadership roles.
- Operations & Coordination
- Manage FOH scheduling in alignment with sales forecasts and labor budgets.
- Ensure accurate POS operation, payment handling, and shift paperwork.
- Coordinate with BOH leadership to ensure smooth order flow and timely service.
- Venue Readiness & Atmosphere
- Oversee daily opening and closing procedures for all guest‑facing areas.
- Ensure that music, lighting, and ambiance match the time of day and service style.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety across all FOH spaces.
Skills & Qualities
- Proven FOH leadership experience, ideally in a high‑volume café, bar, or restaurant.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong situational awareness and problem‑solving ability.
- Comfort balancing hands‑on service with leadership duties.
- Appreciation for music culture and its role in guest experience.
- Flexible schedule spanning mornings, evenings, weekends, and special events.
- Works closely with the Operations Director, Executive Kitchen Manager, and FOH team leads.
- Key liaison between FOH and BOH to maintain flow and guest satisfaction.
